Messy Workshop Blog Hop

I was blog hopping one day and saw this blog hop challenge....take pics of your messy workshop and post to your blog.  I knew this was one I could do, no problem!  So, here is my workshop (though I call it my studio) and I think I should win (there really isn't any prize).  btw, back in Nov. I went on a cruise and a good friend watched my cats and she and her son saw my workshop/studio as a challenge.  They did a great job organziing, yes, it looked a 1000 times worse than this.  Thank you Brandy and Collin!  You did great, but creative minds are just messy, inside and out.  We would rather create than organize/clean.  To tell the truth, the only times my room begins to get organized is when I can't find something I need.  What about you?

So now that you have perused my messy space, please take a look at my facebook page and my other post...then, take a look at these messy workshops!
Remember, it is a blog hop.

Custom Orders

OK, honestly, custom orders are not my fav thing. There, I said it out loud.  Let me tell you why and then why I also love them.  A conundrum, yes?  Anyway, when I have custom orders, I feel that my creative flow is blocked.   A customer wants something specific and there are usually parameters, sometimes a lot, sometimes just 'a flavor' of something.  It is what the customer wants made, not what I want to create.

How does that affect my creativity?  My mind immediately says, crap, I can't just play with beads and ideas I have in my head.  I have to make something that the customer wants, not what I want.  Is that entirely true?  No, and you know why?  Because I get to put a vision that someone loosely gave me into a design I create.  How cool is that.  With all that being said, here are a few of my customer orders I had the privilege to create.  Please let me know your thoughts, especially you creative minds!

Spring Just Keeps Blooming with Colors

I can't stop buying these beads.  They scream to me, make me into a necklace or a bracelet or earrings but, especially, necklaces.  I have been stuck with just keeping it to the great colors of these beads without adding anything else but took a little chance this week.  Gonna get up my courage to play some more with additional designs instead of only the beads.  Glass, mirrored, acrylic, metal...shimmer, shine, glitter and gleam.  The pics just can't do them justice so you'll just have to get you one or two to wear for your spring/summer wardrobe.  No going wrong with these designs!

Mirrored Blue
I am in love with these beads! Shimmery silver over blues, mirrored beads and simple blue and silver create this design. Adjustable length for your neckline with a Bali Silver clasp to finish it off. $28

Silver Ice
Silver and white create this stunning necklace. Adjustable for your neckline and finished with a Bali Silver Clasp. Love this and it will look great this summer with your outfit! $28

Shout of Spring Bracelet
How could you not want this....beautiful hues of lavender and purple with some opaque white beads setting off the colors. Elastic stretch to fit any wrist. $18

Silver Night
A beautfiul scolled pendant (@1 1/4") dangles in the midst of surrounding silver and black beads. A large link chain finishes off the look! A little extra bling can't hurt anyone, right? $30

Spring Has Sprung!

Spring has sprung here in Virginia so I thought I would celebrate with some of my lucite flower and Swarovski Crystal designs.

Great summer colors in pinks, purples, teal, moss green, peach, red and many more. I loaded up this silver tone chain with tons of flowers, each one centered with a Swarovski Crystal, that will look great on anyone's wrist. I added a Bali silver clasp and the bracelet it adjustable.

$38

I loaded down this lovely silver chain with tons of glass bead clusters, intermingles with Lucite Flowers. Each bead is wire wrapped and loaded onto a jump ring to form a little colorful cluster. Tons of colors allow you to wear this with so many outfits. This necklace is adjustable and finished with a Bali Silver clasp. It measures 19 inches at its fullest, but again, it is adjustable for various necklines.

$42

A simple calla lily with a Swarovski Crystal nestled in the center dangles from a sterling silver necklace. A Bali silver lobster claw makes this necklace adjustable.

This lucite flower has six petals in colors of reddish and purple highlighted with a sparkling Swarovski crystal. The sepal part of the flower is framed with an antique brass flower bead cap. This dangles from a pair of antiqued brass ear wires.

$10

Great summer colors dress up this lovely sterling silver chain necklace with seven flowers, each one centered with a Swarovski crystal. I added a Bali silver clasp which makes this necklace adjustable. Will look great with a pair of Lucite flower earrings.

A Few Funky Pieces

Trying to get a few designs out of my system in between orders.  I have been so blessed this year with all the support and customers.  Custom Orders are fun and are a big part of my business but sometimes, you just got to get some things out of your system.  Here are a few of them.  Let me know what you think and remember, they can be yours also!  Just let me know.
